Edward Kennedy - Senator - USA


Mr,. Edward Kennedy, one of the Kennedy brothers to survive long and die of natural causes, spent almost 47 years in Senate. He is the third-longest serving senators in the Chamber's history after Sen. Robert Byrd and late Sen. Strom Thurmond..

In July 2009, he was awared the Presidential Medal of freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor.

He was born on 22 February, 1932 as the fourth son and ninth child of Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Kennedy.

Mr. Kenndy went to University of Vrginia Law School. After Kenndy became President, he became senator of Massachusetts at the age of 30.

In 1980, he ran for nomination of Presidential candidate from Democratic party. But jimmy Carter routed him in primaries.

He died in August 2009. (Add  the date)
